ProstaSol®: phytosterols, saw palmetto, ginseng
The preparation ProstaSol® contains a trademarked combination of cell-protecting lignans from linseed oil, antioxidant curcuminoids from turmeric and various plant sterols such as beta-sitosterol. Plant sterols (sterols) are found in high concentrations in high-fat plant parts such as nuts and seeds and have a reputation for positive hormonal effects: In the body, sterols serve as building blocks for adrenal and sex hormones, among other things.
In addition, ProstaSol® contains the lipophilic extract of the fruit of the saw palmetto (Saw palmetto or Serenoa repens), which cite standard works of herbal medicine as one of the most important medicinal plants for prostate problems. Randomized double-blind studies were able to confirm corresponding effects: the international evaluation committee HMPC (Herbal Medicinal Product Committee) has classified the use of saw palmetto fruits in the form of thick extracts for the symptomatic treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) as “medically recognized” (well-established use). In addition, the natural active ingredient is very well tolerated.
The preparation also contains extracts of two other traditional medicinal plants used in men’s medicine: ginseng root and Baikal skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis) with its flavonoid baicalin.
